• THE ROAD

This week we ventured into the Brazilian outback! Not without a bit of caution and a whole lot of insect repellent.
    Classic.

More specifically we've been in the Pantanal wetlands, which shares a border with Bolivia, and it's the furthest out I've been from a city in Brazil. It goes without saying that the wildlife has been incredible... walking amongst alligators, seeing the famous McCaws and even fishing for Piranhas(P.S. They taste delicious!)

Out here though, you're pretty hard-pressed to find a decent road. We've travelled for hours along gravel roads. You feel like a phone on vibrate just ringing for hours. When I get home I'm switching mine to something else. Poor guy.

But here's the thing: the destinations out here are STUNNING.
Man, ain't that always the way it is.

I was travelling along this road when the thought came to my mind. We're all heading somewhere. Sometimes we have no idea where, sometimes we do. Sometimes it's the destination we're aiming for, sometimes it's a means to an end. Whatever it is, to get there we have to go on the journey. And even though that can get pretty rough sometimes, I'm looking at that picture thinking the journey is kind of a beautiful thing. It's the way we reach our destinations. And if you're heading for the right one, the result will always be stunning and well worthwhile.

P.S. Here's some of the stunning destinations we've seen out this way
